Ground Equipment Mechanic (MA)
Global Aviation Services, a leader in Ground Service Equipment maintenance, is seeking a mechanic for our East Boston shop. If you have prior experience servicing medium to heavy duty vehicles, we would like to hear from you. This is a full-time opportunity with exceptional benefits.
Mechanics with the company perform scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance including general repairs as required on powered and non-powered Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for multiple customers in the commercial and cargo airline industries.
Mechanics are responsible for ensuring GSE equipment is fully operational in support of daily equipment requirements. This is accomplished by performing preventative maintenance on diesel and gas engines, checking proper operation, changing filters, servicing with oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, etc. The mechanic updates paper and electronic records in connection with maintenance performed.
Mechanics also perform unscheduled maintenance including general repairs, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues. Cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles and reinstalls GSE components in accordance with customer requirements or technical publications.
We provide on-the-job training as well as continuing education opportunities including tuition reimbursement and ASE test reimbursement with step bonuses for obtaining the ASE Certifications
To work at Global Aviation you must have or be able to:
- Pass background and drug test
- Valid driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Work in a garage or outside on shop grounds or elsewhere on the airfield
